The ‘Mini’ Car or Kei car as it is correctly called in Japan category originated in the Post war era of the Second World War, when most of the Japanese public could not afford a full sized vehicle, yet many had enough money to purchase a motorbike. So to promote the growth of the car industry, the kei car category was introduced by the Government. The category was originally limited to a tiny 150 cc then in 1949, dimensions   and engine size limitations were slowly expanded to tempt more car manufacturers to produce the kei cars. Algys Autos Imported literally hundreds of Mazda Bongo from Japan to the UK during the late 1990’s and first decade of the 2000’s, dozens of the familiar Bongo were laying in await at the garage to be campervan converted. Mostly the elevating roof version was sought after and most were used as a faithful weekender having the ability to instantly convert from an 8 seaat MPV to a 4 berth campervan. Many even had a full campervan conversion with cooker, sink, fridge and storage. Some even ‘pushed the boat out’ and had ‘rock and roll’ beds, drop-down DVD players and tables installed. As we trned the year 2010 corner the elevating roof Mazda Bongo started to dry up and hnce the attention moved to the Bongo Tin-Top where there was an abundance of stock. The Nissan Figaro has long been a very collectable retro classic and in the last few years Canada and of late, the USA, have joined the list of countries that can import the beautiful convertible classic. The Toyota MR2 is a 2 seat, mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive sports car manufacturd by Toyota, introduced in 1983 until July 2007. There are 3 different generations of the MR2: Generation 1 is from 1983–1989, with angular, origami-like lines, the Generation 2 was from year 1990–1999, which had styling that some compared to a Ferrari 355, and lastly Generation 3 from year 2000–2007, which looked like the Porsche Boxster. It was designed to be a small powerful, nippy sport car, with an economical powerplant, but sporty in style and handling. All 3 Generations were 2 seats small engines 1600- 2000cc and extreme fun! The first generation MR2 also had a Supercharged version and has now bcome quite collectable, prices can only spiralupwards. The Generation 2 version also had a turbo charged version whish was extremely powerful and fantastic acceleration for a small low cost sports car.

History of the Toyota Prius Hybid & Prius Hybrid Models Available
